The metalic paint that they recommended I don't put on the plane went bad.
I Called the new owner David Underhill (He purchase the business around 2005)
I had my Mooney painted at Cardan Back in 2002 when it was owned by three older retired guys.
Turns out that the metallic was done as a single stage (no clear coat) when metallic is supposed to be a two stage system. (They also used PPG paint)
The Mooney is now restored to her shiny Metalic glory.

The work took approximately four weeks to complete. David held good to his estimated price.
Now fast forward to 2014, the metalic paint is so badly faded and dead that it's hard to look at. My once gorgeous Mooney is now dull and not so easy to look at.
Sent him photo's and he gave me an estimated cost to fix the bad metallic paint with the two stage Du Pont system.
