Stayed 2 nights ago from drive down from Washington and was given the coupon rate I walked in with + 10 for additional guest. Had no issues this first time. The man at front desk was nice and polite so I told my family and friends who drive between Washington and california. But today I sent out an email for them NEVER to stay here. The woman at the front desk was EXTREMELY RUDE. She would not honor the coupon and there are 15 rooms empty in this 20 room motel, because it's a first come first serve (I was here at 9:30am) than she said the coupon is good for after 5pm which was a lie because I was here at 11am last time and coupon was honored.. SHE WOULDN'T give me a handicapped room for my son. Gave me dirty looks like I was American trash (they are from India). Slammed the pool gate right behind my head. Came and shut my motel room door on me and my kids while unloading my stuff the first 5 minutes I was here, thank god I had the key. She charged me $77.00 when the coupon was for $38.00 + $10 additional person and tax. She was ungodly rude even after I told her I had to drive from Washington to California for my father's funeral. I guess it doesn't matter that an American is dead. I've never seen such nasty behavior and I used to be married to a man from India. She should be ashamed of lying to make more money, her god would be ashamed of her for that. No blessings for her or this motel.
Nightmare.
No gate- it's right on the road so forget about safety.
We were moved here by Expedia when motel 6 was overbooked 4th of July weekend and this was a downgrade with a higher price tag. 100 degree day and it was 90 degrees in the room when we finally got in at 11pm. Took a couple hours to cool off. Clean but dated and crusty. Have to give a $25 cash deposit and have your room inspected before you leave in the am which is really strange. Those two factors made it a bummer, and I wouldn't have chosen this option based on the other reviews but we didn't have a choice. No other complaints. Easy location, pool, all the basic amenities, but needs renovation.
Motel 6 and Expedia screwed up our reservation, so we ended up at the Gateway In late at night unexpectantly after Expedia reserved new lodging for us nearby. Receptionist was frustrated that we had children. Required a strange 25 dollar deposit cash. Room was very hot for about 3 hours until the AC lowered the temperature, but luckily everything was clean with no smell. Overall, clean accommodations and initially very hot with weird circumstances.
Stay away.
A/C so loud that you can't sleep or adjust it at all.
Beds are not clean, the bathroom is rusty and shower still needs constriction. Carpets are dirty and the paint is not finished or splashed on other things. Where the carpet meets the floor there's a dirty gap and worms are coming in from outside.
I wouldn't even give one star but I need to in order to give a review, the place is old they won't change the blankets we got to rooms for a week and phone's came out missing but that's not all, what most bother me in the middle of the night he just open our door waking us up, asking questioning about other room!!! Like for real what kind of management is that!!! No respect what's ever NO PROFESSIONALISM, NO RESPECT, BE AWARE IF YOU BRING YOU GIRLFRIEND OR WIFE here because you CAN'T HAVE a privacy intimately be aware.
